Don't ever buy Polyester carpet! When carpet shopping if you
can remember one thing then remember that you will be sorry
with carpet made of polyester.
Why?
I have cleaned hundreds if not thousands of carpet made of this
fiber. The styles you will see sporting this fiber are cut pile
"plush" and frieze. The major problem I see is in the traffic
lanes. In less than a years time traffic lanes become
permanently matted down or distorted. Since polyester is made
of plastic "an oil based property" it attracts oily soils. This
causes traffic areas to get a darkened look that can't not be
fixed. While polyester is extremely stain resistant it would be
much better to get a carpet made of nylon with stain protection.
